Sedation Dentistry FAQs

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Nitrous oxide, sometimes called laughing gas, is breathed through a small mask. It creates a light, calm feeling while you remain awake. Its effects wear off quickly once the mask is removed.

Oral Conscious Sedation

Oral conscious sedation uses prescription medication taken before your visit to help create a deeper state of relaxation. You are still conscious and can communicate, but you may remember little of the appointment afterward.

A trusted adult must bring you to the office and drive you home.

Sedation may help patients who have dental fear, difficulty becoming numb, a strong gag reflex, trouble sitting comfortably for treatment, or a need for more extensive care. We review your health history and goals to select the right approach.

Dr. Nawrocki being who I chose to take care of my dental needs. He is the first Dentist I interviewed that sat down with me and went through what my dental needs are - just very personable and professional. The staff is also awesome and are extremely professional and helpful!! Just a really great place that I would highly recommend!!

I have been a patient with Dr Nawrocki since 2019. I am a very complicated case and have always received the ultimate in professional dental care. The office is very competent and helpful with appointments and insurance needs. I trust in my Dr and respect his expertise and knowledge. As a Nurse myself I need to know I am getting the best care for my dental health, and I surely found it in Brown and Nawrocki. I cannot thank Dr. Nawrocki enough for everything he has helped me with.
